| The article discusses the methodological problems of developing stable grammatical skills in the context of limited classroom hours in a non-linguistic university. The relevance of the study is determined by the requirements of modern professional standards implying the future specialists’ ability to engage in intercultural communication, which includes the grammatical correctness of their statements. The object of the study is the process of teaching grammatical aspects of foreign language speech, and the subject is the methodology of developing the skills of using conditional sentences (Conditionals) in non- linguistic fields of study. Based on the analysis of typical errors and difficulties in learning (interference, overgeneralization of rules, and formal memorization), the authors propose a set of tasks aimed at practising these grammar structures. |
